I AM Kind

Yama is a Surfer Girl who loves animals and keeping the beaches and ocean clean. She lives on the Hawaiian island, Oahu, and intends to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She has several rescue pets, including a dolphin named Neha, who she released from being trapped in a fisherman’s net moments before she was scheduled for her first Surf Contest at Sunset Beach. To return the favor, Neha carries Yama to her contest just in the knick of time! Both learn the value and reward of being kind.

Yama is the first limb of Yoga. The philosophy of this practice is based on Kindness, teaching that one should avoid any action that could harm another being.

Yama’s story is centered on her passion for animals, and working to keep the ocean clean.
